Conserving is better.
Recycling is great, but conserving is way better. Is it really necessary to take that receipt? the stub from the ATM? that transfer? Do you really need to purchase small quantities of something that is readily available in bulk? Is there an alternative that uses less packaging materials? Can this paper be used for scrap? It's all about rethinking our consumption and determining what really is necessary, what we can either borrow from a friend or just plain live without.

please take recycling seriously guys, try having recycling bins next to all the gargabes in your houses to make it just as convinient to recycle then to throw all that paper away!!!
You've got the right idea. Recycling is a really important part of reducing the amount of waste we send to landfills. And for most of us, it's as simple as choosing the blue bin over the trash can. But it really is the least we can do, for example, excess packaging alone makes up over 30% of the garbage in our landfills. Talk about a simple way to reduce waste - try buying products with only minimal packaging. If the other stuff just sits on the shelves, manufacturers will be forced to address the problem. -The FLICK OFF team |
